Your company has literally saved my life, and I can now look forward to a pain-free lifestyle. -- Travis S. (US - Artificial Disc Client) thanks so much for all your help....everyone was wonderful..... I felt very safe and taken care of there. My mother loved eating at the hotel every evening....very special restaurant. we did some walking each day....very lovely! -- Ana A. (US - Weight Loss Client) EMT has been so very helpful. The quality of care was superb and everyone at the hospital was quite dear. I still work at my therapy, but no longer have pain in my hip.-- Kate C. (UK - Orthopedic Client) Hi Tim, In short, the surgery went phenomenally well. Dr. XXXXXXX and the hospital staff treated me very well. Most of them have at least some English and typically look forward to getting more practice. All the arrangements were made quite easily and the costs were exactly as stated. A bit of background: I've had neck problems off and on since I was 11 (I'm now 59). Up until last winter I'd managed to deal with them with everything from exercise/stretching/yoga through massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and finally steroid injections. When the last series of steroid injections had no effect whatsoever, with constant radiating pain down my left arm and starting into my right shoulder, I started looking for further alternatives. When even your chiropractor says it's time for surgery.... So I started getting the workup for that - x-rays, MRI, CT scan and, finally, nerve conduction studies and a myelogram. All the results showed degenerative disc changes at C5-6 and C6-7 which were intruding on the spinal cord. C4-5 wasn't great, but it wasn't touching. The only option available in the US was fusion. After spending years working on hospital psychiatric units and hearing the problems started by failed fusion operations, I was pretty biased against this. Also, I gathered that the extra stress on C4-5 caused by the three fused vertebrae below would make it only a matter of time before it too required fusion. I found out that there were three studies going on that offered the option of disc replacement and signed up for one of them, withdrawing after being told that, to fit their experimental design, I'd get a fusion anyway. The other two studies didn't even tell you which you'd gotten until you were out of surgery, so they weren't an option. Further internet research told me that disc replacement surgery was not only available but routine in Europe, especially Germany. An article about medical tourism ultimately led me to EMT and Tim. The results were dramatic. I could tell as soon as I awoke in the recovery room that all pain in my arm was gone. It was that immediate. It took a couple of days to realize the grinding noise and feeling when I turned my head were also gone. The scar healed beautifully within a week and my wife and I spent the next three weeks vacationing in Belgium and the Netherlands before returning home.My chiropractor says I have the neck movement of a 25-year-old, except for inclining right and left. I've had some pain and muscle tightness in neck muscles that haven't had to stretch so far in decades, but time and physical therapy exercises have pretty much taken care of those. So - an extremely positive experience, which I'd definitely repeat and highly recommend. I'm just thankful I had access to the money to fund it. I hope this helps - any other questions you have I'd be happy to respond to. Best of luck, Ray L. (US - Artificial Disc Replacement Client) Hi Tim, I will be fully released to work on April 22, and will begin work as a nurse once again! I have taken a position as an "Assistant Nurse Manager" in a new Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Nashville. This will allow me to take care of patients in my area of expertise, but with some office work included to minimize physical stress during the week. Former co-workers and friends have asked several questions about my experiences, and I always mention your company and website for those who are interested. Hopefully it will bring more business your way. I am still happy to be a reference for any prospective client, and for now. Travis S. The following comments are from a patient, who had major reconstructive spine surgery Tim, it has been a tough few days and I am getting better day by day, strength, and pain is lessoning quite a lot, slowly but surely I will regain most of the use of my muscles, by probably the first part of the year, the way things are going now. This is day 28 post op and I am now seeing the light much clearer now, that it was all well worth it. I've showed my dvd and films to everybody who's come by and who's worked on me before the surgery and who's working with me now post op.. Most everybody can already see a major difference and the scar is looking super good and healing very well, nice line. Give me some time and I'll be more than happy to communicate with anybody about my experience at XXXXXXXXX. It was and is probably the single best thing that I could've done, I just wish could have done it much sooner, I'd be so much better off. I do thank you very much for your hard work in trying to make sure I got the right person to work on me and fix the mess.
