Prices in Germany are normally 75% below the cost for a flavectomy surgery in the US and are individually quoted. Our prices for both the cervical artificial disc and the flavectomy are typically 5,000 - 10,000 EUR below other high profile clinics in Germany. All surgeries are performed by our preferred doctor, who is the chief neurosurgeon with over 25 years experience. They include all medical expenses, the hospital stay, surgeon's fees, operation room fees, anesthesia, anesthesiologist's fees, medicine, nursing, private room, meals, pre-op diagnosis, local phone and English TV.

A Flavectomy is simply the removal (excision) of the ligamentum flavum, which is a band of yellow elastic tissue that runs between the laminae from the axis to the sacrum. The ligamentum flavum assists in maintaining or regaining erect position and serves to close in the spaces between the arches. The Flavectomy is performed to relieve spinal stenosis, usually caused by a protruding and/or compressed disc. With a protruding disc the Flavectomy gives more room for the spinal chord. With a compressed disc the Flavectomy removes the ligamentum flavum, which is buckling into the spinal canal.
